These Consumer Purchase Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") apply to all consumer purchases of any model of Alpineworks swiss ("us" or "we") hammocks and accessories offered by Alpineworks swiss (collectively, "Leisure Items"), and/or related accessories or other products offered by Alpineworks swiss. By purchasing products from Alpineworks swiss, whether online or in our showroom, you agree to these Terms in their entirety.
1. Application
These Terms apply to your purchase of the products and use of the hammocks. Other interactions you have with Alpineworks swiss are subject to other agreements, including the following:

2. Online Orders, In-Store Orders of Leisure Items
In the event that you purchase Leisure Items (e.g., hammocks and accessories) (i) via online order or (ii) at an Alpineworks swiss retail store (as opposed to a direct purchase of an in-stock item in-store), your order of products constitutes an offer to purchase. Alpineworks swiss will send you an email confirming receipt of your order. Alpineworks swiss has accepted your order upon shipment of the Leisure Items. We reserve the right at any time, including after we have sent you a confirmation email, to decline or cancel your order or limit order quantities for any reason, including due to errors or suspected fraud. We will refund any advance payments we may have received from you.
Special Offers, Discount Codes, and Promotions
Alpineworks swiss reserves the right to impose restrictions on the combination, stacking, and use of all Alpineworks swiss promotions conducted via the website, email, social media, or other channels where Alpineworks swiss promotions are explained and/or disseminated. Alpineworks swiss reserves the right to discontinue all promotions, codes, and referral programs for sales and for all new product launches. Promotional codes (i) must be used at the time of purchase, (ii) cannot be used retroactively, (iii) cannot be accumulated, (iv) cannot be used in conjunction, etc. For a product that is returned and was ordered using a promotional code, the value of the discount code will be deducted from the refund amount.
Restriction on Leasing Orders
Please note:
Discount codes, special promotions, freebies, or similar promotions apply exclusively to direct purchases through our online shop.
Leasing orders (e.g., via JobRad, Bikeleasing, mein-dienstrad.de, etc.) are excluded from participation in such promotions. This is due to the fixed price specifications and billing models of our leasing partners and is not negotiable.
3. Friend Referral Program Terms/Restrictions
To qualify for a gift voucher, the referred person must (i) be a new customer, (ii) provide the referrer's name at the time of purchase, (iii) make a purchase on www.alpineworks-swiss.com for an amount greater than the minimum amount specified in the referral offer, and (iv) not use any other active promotions or discounts with their purchase. Referring customers will receive a referral gift card after the referral is confirmed and the referral credit is approved by a customer service representative. Customers can refer up to two (2) people per household. Referring customers can earn only one (1) referral credit per referred person. If a referred person returns a purchased product and the value of their lifetime order falls below the minimum purchase amount, the referral credit granted to the referring customer will be revoked. Customers cannot refer anyone who has an existing account with www.alpineworks-swiss.com using a different email address.
Abuse of this offer, as determined by us in our sole discretion, may result in the revocation of (i) the referring customer's referral credit, (ii) the referred person's promotional code, and (iii) the ability of both parties to participate in these or future promotions. A referral credit cannot be applied to prior purchases and is not redeemable for cash. This referral program may be modified or terminated at any time without notice at our sole discretion.
4. Shipping
Shipping costs vary depending on the items purchased. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. For more information on shipping costs, please visit the shipping information page at www.alpineworks-swiss.com/versand. Please note that freight orders for pallets may incur additional charges.
In-stock orders are typically shipped within two (2) business days. A shipping confirmation email will be sent to the email address attached to the order once the order has been shipped.
We use DHL or a specialized freight forwarder (curbside delivery) for shipping your order. We do not ship to P.O. boxes.
Processing orders for discounted products may take an additional forty-eight (48) hours.
Changes you make to shipping after the item has shipped, including but not limited to an address change, rescheduling an order, or updating shipping preferences, may delay receipt of products and replacements and/or refunds.
We will bear the cost of return shipping if: (a) the products are faulty or misdescribed, (b) we have informed you of an upcoming change to the product or these terms, an error in pricing or description, a delivery delay due to events outside our control, or because you have a legal right to do so because we have done something wrong. In all other cases, you are responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning the product. In addition, we may, at our sole discretion, arrange for the return on your behalf. Shipping costs are non-refundable. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive the product you wish to return.
For any third-party shipping outside the normal Alpineworks swiss shipping process, Alpineworks swiss cannot provide additional shipping data or documentation.
Orders placed through our online shop (www.alpineworks-swiss.com) with the Alpineworks swiss retail location as the shipping address may be canceled if the retail location does not offer "buy online and pick up in store" service. To purchase products in-store, please locate an Alpineworks swiss showroom near you.
5. Ownership
All products ordered by you remain our property until we have delivered the products to the address specified in the order.
If we have not received full payment for the products prior to delivery, the products remain our property until payment has been received in full. We reserve the right (without prejudice to applicable law) to prohibit you from using the products and to enter your premises and repossess the products (or have a third party do so) if payment is not made when due or if the credit/debit card company declines payment or requires us to reverse any payment made for the products for any reason.
6. Your Right to Cancel and Return Policy
Right to Cancel for Consumers: If you are a consumer (i.e., you are not buying the product(s) in the course of your business, trade, or profession), you have the right to cancel your order for the products within thirty (30) days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after thirty (30) days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the products.
Hammock Returns: To return a non-defective or undamaged hammock, you must contact Alpineworks swiss within thirty (30) days of receiving the hammock. The hammock must be undamaged, free of wear and tear, dirt, dust odor, or other signs of use, and in the same condition as you received the hammock. If picked up by our partner, the hammock must be packaged securely for shipping.
Items that cannot be returned: Used products and gift orders cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
Procedure:
To exercise your right to cancel or return, you must:
- inform us (using the contact details provided in Section 16 of these Terms) that you wish to cancel or return;
- take a photo of the item in its original packaging to send to our product support team.
Refunds:
We will refund you all payments we have received from you in relation to your order.
We may make a deduction from the refund for any loss in value of the products caused by you or incurred during return shipping to Alpineworks swiss.
We will make such refund using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; you will not incur any fees as a result of such refund. We may withhold the refund until we have received the products back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the products, whichever is the earliest.
For all items returned with an order where a code was used, the full value of the discount code will be deducted from the refund amount.
We will make the refund without undue delay, and not later than:
- Thirty (30) days from the day on which we receive the products supplied by you, or
- (if earlier) thirty (30) days from the day on which you provide evidence that you have sent the products back, or
- if no products were supplied to you, fourteen (14) days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel the order.

The cost of return shipping is borne by the customer, unless the return is due to a defect, shipping damage, or an error caused by us.
7. Repairs and Spare Parts
Customers may take their Alpineworks swiss hammocks to a specialized shop of their choice for repairs. Before any repairs or parts replacement can begin, the customer must contact Alpineworks swiss by email and obtain authorization for the assumption of the incurred costs. Alpineworks swiss will provide the necessary spare parts free of charge, provided they have been approved in advance. It is important that customers return the replaced old parts to Alpineworks swiss.
Customers who purchase spare parts or materials without prior authorization from Alpineworks swiss are solely responsible for the costs incurred. Alpineworks swiss will not cover the costs of spare parts or repairs carried out without our prior approval.
8. Product Performance
Please note that data regarding the expected useful life or load capacity of our hammocks is an estimate and not a guarantee. Many factors contribute to actual use, such as frequency of use, weather conditions, load, care, and storage. Under the appropriate conditions, it is possible to achieve a shorter or longer lifespan than expected. Any alterations, modifications, or other changes you make to a hammock after purchase that affect the safety or functionality of the hammock will void the limited warranty and are at your sole risk of damage.
Alpineworks swiss guarantees that the products:
- conform to the description of the products on the website (Alpineworks swiss reserves the right to use spare parts, materials, or equipment of equivalent quality and value that meet Alpineworks swiss's strict standards) and
- are of satisfactory quality, free from defects in materials and workmanship, and fit for their intended purpose.
9. Price
The price of the products:
- is the price shown on the order pages when you placed your order;
- is in CHF or EURO (€) (EUR);
- includes sales tax at the applicable rate for products shipped within the European Union;
- does not include sales tax or customs duties for products shipped to Norway, Iceland, and
- does not include costs for the delivery of the products (if you wish to see delivery options and costs, please visit the "Shipping" page on the website www.alpineworks-swiss.com/versand).
10. Payments
In accordance with the "Orders" section above, payments may be declined or refunded to you at Alpineworks swiss's sole discretion for any or no reason. If we accept a pre-order for a product, your account, credit card, or other payment method will be charged upon approval by Alpineworks swiss, regardless of when your purchase is expected to ship. If a credit card chargeback in any amount is made for an order, the applicable limited warranty for that order will be suspended until the chargeback is resolved.
11. Liability
These Terms exclude our liability (if any) for:
- Damages caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of Alpineworks swiss.
- Any matter in respect of which it would be unlawful for Alpineworks swiss to exclude or restrict its liability (including any mandatory provisions under applicable law).
Alpineworks swiss shall not be liable for (i) consequential or indirect damages and/or (ii) loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, loss of goodwill, and/or lost anticipated savings incurred by you.
You may have other statutory rights, and these Terms do not affect them.
We perform a careful inspection of each product to guarantee its quality before shipping it to you. Once you have received your product, you are obliged to inspect all parts yourself. Please note that we assume no responsibility for accidents resulting from a failure to inspect after receipt.
12. Acknowledgment and Indemnification
You acknowledge that there are inherent, expected, and unexpected risks and dangers associated with the use of our leisure items, whether intended or arising from misuse. You understand that such risks may result in injury, physical or mental harm to you, your property, third parties and their property, or Alpineworks swiss property. You agree to hold harmless and indemnify Alpineworks swiss and its directors, officers, employees, agents, shareholders, partners, suppliers, and licensors for any claims or demands by third parties, including reasonable attorneys' fees, related to or arising from: (a) your purchase or use of products; (b) your breach of these Terms; or (c) your violation of the rights of a third party or applicable law. Alpineworks swiss reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you. In such a case, you will fully cooperate with Alpineworks swiss in asserting any available defenses.
13. Assignment by Alpineworks swiss
Alpineworks swiss has the right to assign these Terms at its sole discretion without notifying you, as long as our performance of the contract is not affected.
14. Changes
We may need to amend these Terms from time to time, for example, due to a change in law. A copy of the latest version of the Terms can be found on our website www.alpineworks-swiss.com.
15. Survival and Severability
If any part or provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable, or incompatible with applicable law, that part or provision shall be ineffective to the extent that the prohibition or unenforceability does not invalidate the remaining provisions of these Terms. Provisions which by their nature are intended to survive termination shall continue to apply after termination or expiration.

These Terms and any disputes between you and Alpineworks swiss shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, excluding its conflict of laws principles, unless you reside in the EU or the United Kingdom. In that case, the statutory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence contain provisions which cannot be deviated from and are more favorable to you. In this case, these provisions may apply. The 1980 Vienna Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) shall not apply.
Disputes can be submitted for online dispute resolution to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/odr/
You may initiate legal proceedings relating to these Terms before a competent Dutch court. If you are a consumer and reside in the European Union, you may also initiate legal proceedings relating to the Terms before the competent court of your country of residence. If you reside in the European Union, we may only initiate legal proceedings against you in your country of residence, unless you are acting as a business, in which case you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
